Fro Culture is dedicated to the memory of Karen B. Adderley née Wilson (1959 - 2019).

Here's a little of the Fro Culture inspiration story.

In 1959, a 'queen' was born. She was graceful, quick-witted, and embodied beauty in every way. All who came in contact with her hold stories of how she touched their lives with the simplest of gestures.

In December 2017, just a few days before her birthday, Karen was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma of the Lung (stage 3). She passed away in February 2019, but not without teaching her loved ones and friends what it means to have "Unshaken Faith".

The Fro Culture brand was birthed as an artistic expression of honour from the imagination of her two daughters, Shemia and Jana. They take inspiration from Karen's legacy and Afro-Bahamian culture to create art, gifts, and handmade products for life and style.
